My button stash is already in the thousands but the excitement of getting new ones never leaves me, now you may well think that I have always been bonkers about buttons but one thing you will never hear me say is that " I used to spend hours sorting through Grandmas button box" like I hear a lot of people say...no, for me my button madness came about quite by accident, after all buttons to me were purely for holding clothing together, beads were my thing, but one day I was sorting through some new items of clothing that I had brought and alongside the labels were spare buttons which I carefully removed and 'stacked' together to put to one side ready to store away, once my new items had been sorted I turned to pick up the buttons and whoa! I just loved the way the colours worked together and how fabulous they looked stacked and that was the start of my obsession with buttons.
My button jewellery is inspired by colour, shape and feel of the buttons - I love tactile jewellery - and as there are just so many wonderful buttons out there still to be discovered I'm sure my love of buttons will always be an obsession I'm happy to keep ♥
